Fifty Cent life Born Curtis Jackson on July 6, 1976, in South Jamaica, Queens, and was later on lived in New York City all his life, 50 Cent renowned as nowadays popular African American hip hop artist. He was actually grown up in a broken home family, in which his hustler mother passed away when he was only 8 years old, while his father ran out, leaving his grandmother to parent him. Like mother like son, as teen, Curtis followed his mother and began hustling, selling drug even more as it proved profitable for him, but eventually sent him to prison. Released from prison and was growing up, he originally wanted to be a heavyweight boxer, but eventually fell back on rapping. It's around this point in the mid-'90s that he turned toward rap and away from crime.
